4 different places - which pass?

Hi

Me and a group of friends are travelling to japan in January.

We will be starting in Tokyo for 4 days, then going to hakuba for 6 days, then kyoto for 2, osaka for 2 and then back to Tokyo.

Which railways should we get? Is there a special 4 or 5 ride flexible pass for this area? Or do we need to get the complete japan rail pass?

Your help would be much appreciated, thanks

Rick

Hi Rick,

Only the nation wide JR Pass covers the area that you plan to travel in. However I don't think that a JR Pass would be a good option for this plan. The JR Pass counts down in consecutive days and spending 6 days in Hakuba would just be a waste of a JR Pass.

Therefor I advise just buying normal tickets as you travel for this travel plan.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
