2 weeks in Tokyo and Kyoto

Hello,

We plan to visit Tokyo and Kyoto for two weeks next April and I was wondering if the Rail Pass will include the following -
Visit all centered area in Tokyo and Kyoto
Will allows us to take the bullet train to Kyoto and then back to Tokyo
Includes the airport limousine bus.

Many thanks in advance,
Tamar

Hi Tamar,

The JR Pass covers the bullet train from Tokyo - Kyoto, local travel within Tokyo on the JR network. Including the Yamanote line, that stops at many major stations.

The airport limousine bus but you can use the Narita Express to Narita Airport and the Tokyo Monorail to Haneda Airport.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thank you Daniel!

One last thing -
Is it possible to book the ticket for the bullet train in advance? with the JR Pass of course..
My concern is - if we need to go to Kyoto on a specific day, is there a possibility that there won't be any available ticket to purchase?

Hi again!

You can make seat reservations the moment that you have arrived in Japan and exchanged the JR Pass. Train seats rarely sell out. This is mainly because trains depart every 10 minutes and carry over a 1000seats each. So dont worry :)
