Hi, I'm from Argentina. I'll be travelling with a friend to Japan in a month for 15 days.

Here is our itinerary:

Oct 12 - Arrival @ Narita Airport. Would like to go to Osaka.
Oct 12 - 16 - Osaka - Hiroshima - Kumano Kodo - Nara
Oct 16 - 20 - Kyoto
Oct 20 - 26 - Tokyo - Nikko - Hakone - Kamakura
Oct 26 - Departure from Narita Airport

We are planning to buy the JR Pass to travel to all these places by train but would be great to have some advice on how, when and what pass we should buy.

Hi there,

I checked your itinerary for the best means of transportation and recommend using a 14 day JR Pass. There's plenty of travel in your itinerary and you will be able to make very good savings using the 14 day JR Pass.

In terms of routing: learn how to plan with Hyperdia, this way you can find all route information yourself and plan like a pro.

I also see that you'll be heading to Hakone. If you plan on exploring the area, look at a Hakone Free Pass.
