Hello Ryan,

Yes, a 14 day JR Pass would be well worth it. Here's a quick ticket cost break-down:

Tokyo - Nikko (return) ¥ 11,560
Tokyo - Kyoto ¥ 14,110
Kyoto - Nara (return) ¥ 1,420
Kyoto - Osaka (return) ¥ 1,020
Kyoto - Hiroshima (return) ¥ 11,290
Kyoto - Tokyo ¥ 14,110
Tokyo - Narita Airport ¥ 3,020

For a total of ¥ 56,530 or least ¥ 10,140 in savings, as the 14 day JR Pass is ¥ 46,390.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Thank you Daniel! Does that mean you recommend activating the 14 day JR pass on Day 2 of my itinerary? Meaning to pay a normal fare for Day 1 (NRT to Tokyo)?

Thanks again,

Ryan
