I am coming to Japan in November and will be travelling from Osaka to Kanazawa, Matsumoto and return to Osaka over a 10 day period. By my research and calculations it would be cheaper to by my tickets as I go in ordinary cars (non reserved cars ) as apposed to buying a rail pass. Does this sound feasible please.

                                                                                                                              Thanks David
