Which pass makes the most savings

Hi,

I am traveling to Japan and thats my plan:

1 Day - Narita - Tokyo
2 Day - Tokyo
3Day - Tokyo - Nikko - Tokyo
4Day Tokyo - Kanazawa
5Day Kanazawa
6Day Kanazawa - Kyoto
7Day Kyoto
8day Kyoto - Nara-Kyoto
9Day Kyoto
10Day Kyoto
11Day Kyoto - Tokyo
12Day Tokyo - Narita

Which pass should I get to make the most out of my trip with the most savings?

Hi there,

Let's have a look at ticket prices and find out out.

Narita Airport - Tokyo ¥ 3,020
Tokyo - Nikko ¥ 5,580
Nikko - Tokyo ¥ 5,580
Tokyo - Kanazawa ¥ 14,120
Kanazawa - Kyoto ¥ 6,900
Kyoto - Nara (return) ¥ 1,420
Kyoto - Tokyo ¥ 13,600
Tokyo - Narita Airport ¥ 3,020

For a total of ¥ 53,240 or at least ¥ 6850 in savings, as the 14 day JR Pass is ¥ 46,390. Also looked at if a 14 day JR Pass could be matched to the above itinerary but a 14 day JR Pass is the best option.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
