Hi,
I will be flying into Japan for 7 days on 9th -august and my itinerary is roughly as follows:

9/8 Kansai to Kyoto
10/8 Kyoto
11/8 Kyoto
12/8 Kyoto
13/8 day trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima
14/8 Osaka
15/8 Osaka
16/8 return to Kansai airport.

I will sightseeing and may included further day trips around this but was wondering if the JR Pass is suitable for this itinerary or should I opt for the Sanyo area pass? Or even if I should just book tickets as I go.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

With the current itinerary in mind, I would either advise looking into the Sanyo area pass or buying tickets as you travel. The Sanyo pass is about the same price as a day trip Hiroshima - Kyoto, so you could make savings if you do additional travel with it.

The difference is not so big in any event, so pick the option you like best!

Enjoy Japan!
Daniel
