Hello there,

You can make plenty of savings with either a 7 or 14 day JR Pass. Given that you will traveling most of your itinerary, I recommend buying a 14 day JR Pass and using it to travel from the 1st - 14th. This will get your the best possible savings and you can cover nearly all travel with it!

The JR Pass can be used to travel to Hakone, however it does not cover travel within the Hakone Area. If you plan to exploring Hakone, consider buying a Hakone Free Pass as companion to your JR Pass.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
