questions & answers: itinerary check

what passes should i get?

What passes should I get?

I will travel Japan in March 2016 for 10days, but the day that I get narita airport at 430 I will go to Osaka straight, I also have checked the iternary at hyperdia
<a href="http://www.hyperdia.com/cgi/en/search.html?dep_node=NARITA%20AIRPORT%20TERMINAL%201&arv_node=SHIN-OSAKA&via_node01=&via_node02=&via_node03=&year=2016&month=03&day=26&hour=16&minute=45&search_type=0&search_way=&transtime=undefined&sort=0&max_route=5&faretype=0&airplane=off&ship=off&sprnozomi=off&privately=off&lmlimit=null&search_target=route&facility=reserved&sum_target=7" title="Title">
an example</a>
I'm just wondering the 7days jr pass will work for my iternary or what passes should I get would be the best?

Thanks

Hi there,

Yes the JR Pass works for this route and is also the only pass that covers this route. So I do think that this would be the best option (given that you also use it to make the return to Tokyo).

Hope this helps,

And I also have one question, when we are going to Osaka do we need reserved seat? Or how is that work?

Hi again!

It is recommended but not mandatory.
