Hi! I'm planning a 10 day trip in Japan in June. I'll stay in tokyo first, then i'm planning to go to kyoto and osaka for a few nights. Would you recommend to buy the JR pass for 7 days or are there other ways (perhaps more economical) to travel between the cities? Would the JR pass also include the trip from Narita airport to Shinjuku?

Hello there,
The JR Pass covers travel between Tokyo - Kyoto and Osaka and also the Narita express to Shinjuku.
The most important question for the JR Pass is whether you will also return to Tokyo after Kyoto and Osaka. A JR Pass is very useful if you make the return but it is better to purchase normal tickets if you simply go one way.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
