Hello there,

Starting with the JR Pass, I recommend a 7 day JR pass to use from day 4 to day 10 in order to get the best savings possible and cover most travel.

For travel to Fuji, I recommend reading this post. Since Kawaguchi-ko is not easy to reach on the way to Osaka/Kyoto, I would visit Hakone instead, as it is directly on the route and also gives you a great view on Fuji.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hi Ajay,

Here is the link for Fuji:

Having lived in Kyoto, I recommend exploring the city on bicycle. There are plenty of bicycle rentals and you see way more than using other transport like the metro. If you are not comfortable with a bicycle, then the Kyoto bus is a good alternative. There are bus lines everyone and day tickets for 500yen are available.

Hi again,

Yes, that looks good. Going to Hakone after Kawaguchiko will make the best possible route.

Let me know if I can help with anything,
Daniel

Then as per this itinerary, should we be buying 7 days JR pass starting from 4th July to 10th July? And as per the itinerary, please advise the mode of transport for the following sectors and can JR pass be utilised for the same?

04 Jul - Shinanomachi - Hachioji - Shinanomachi
05 Jul - No movement
06 Jul - Shinanomachi - Yokohama - Kawaguchiko - Hakone
07 Jul - Hakone - Kyoto
08 Jul - Kyoto - Hiroshima - Osaka - Hakone
09 Jul - Kyoto - Local travel
10 Jul - Kyoto - Shinjuku

It would be great if you can help me with the trains / bus service that we can use for 3 pax for the above, SECTOR WISE.

Regards
