Narita to Tokyo Station
Tokyo Station to Kanazawa (Ishikawa)
Back to Tokyo
Go to Osaka then to Kyoto and Kobe
Back to Osaka
Back to Tokyo and explore around Tokyo

Looking for your awesome advise. Arigatou.

If you can travel from Narita Airport to Tokyo, Kanazawa, Tokyo, Kansai, and back to Tokyo within 7 days you can reap some killer savings. Just FYI it's not clear why you return to Tokyo from Kanazawa though - you can go directly from there to Kyoto, saving you a lot of time. If you can try to fit in Nara while you are visiting - it is well worth it. For Kanazawa, be sure to visit the Kenrokuen Garden - it is regarded as the finest traditional garden in Japan. For Kyoto, don't miss the Kinkakuji and Kiyomizudera temples, as well as the Fushimi Inari Shrine. Fushimi is the most time consuming; you could spend a couple of hours to over half a day if you want to romp over all the trails.
In Tokyo a few of the best places to see are the Tsukiji Fish Market, plus the site that every last tourist goes to see, the Sensoji Temple. If you are in Tokyo on a Sunday afternoon, be sure to go visit Harajuku to see the youth with their wild fashions. Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park are next to it and well worth seeing also. And be sure not to miss the Shibuya Hachiko intersection especially on a weekend when it looks like half the city is crossing the street at once.

Best of luck.

Hi Toraneko,

Thank you for your reply and for your useful advices. :)

Anyway, in Kanazawa, i'll be meeting some japanese friends for 2 days and I need to go back to Tokyo after cause my friend/travel buddy will be arriving from Manila and we'll stay in Tokyo for a day before going to Kansai. It's a bit of a hassle and time consuming but i'm considering your suggestion above. But if i have to stick to my original plan, JR Pass for 7 days will be worth it right?

I appreciate all the tips and the places you've suggested and I'm so excited to visit all those. :) Arigato Gozaimasu! :)

Regards,
Jake

Hi,
Yes, either way, the 7 day pass would pay off well. If you can try to fit in a few hours to see Nara Park in Nara. It is well worth it and has some of Japan's best sights.

Good luck!

Hi,
Tow of the best areas are Hakone and the Fuji 5 Lakes area. There are money saving area passes for both.

Best of luck!
