Hi,

I will like to check my itinerary and also if I should get the 14 day JR pass. Do let me know your thoughts and suggestions!

I will be landing at Narita Airport on 24 April 5.30pm and head to stay at Shinjuku area. I will be leaving for Fujikawaguchiko (Yamagishi ryokan) on 28 April and staying for 1 night before going to Kyoto. I will be leaving Kyoto on 1 May 2016 headed for Osaka. As I have 4 days in Osaka, I will most likely go on a 1 day Nara trip before flying off from Kansai Airport on 6 May 2016.

As the travel dates are during the Golden week, should I travel so much? Will it affect my itinerary?
I am not sure of how to reach the ryokan and leave for Kyoto, any suggestions?
Should I purchase the JR pass?

Kyoto Address: Higashikujo Kamigoryocho, Minami-ku Kyoto-shi, Kyoto, 601-8015, Japan

Hi there,

I checked your itinerary for the best option and think it would be best to buy normal tickets here. A JR Pass is great when traveling longer distances a couple of times. For instance a return Tokyo - Osaka will quickly pay for the JR Pass. However you will basically be traveling one way and so it would make more sense to just buy normal tickets.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
