Dear sirs,
I am planning my 2 weeks itinerary in Japan in April. It's the first time I visit your country and I'd like my visit to be as diverse as possible, also I've got a couple of nights to fill in between Miyajima and going back to Tokyo.
My itinerary so far is as follows:
SATURDAY 4 - Land In Tokyo
SUNDAY 5- MONDAY 6 - TOKYO
TUESDAY 7- Tokyo-Osaka
WEDNESDAY 8 - Osaka- Nara-Osaka
THURSDAY 9 Osaka-Kyoto-Osaka
FRIDAY 10-Osaka-Kyoto-Osaka
SATURDAY 11- Osaka-Hiroshima-Miyajima
SUNDAY 12
MONDAY 13
THURSDAY 14 Sleeping in Tokyo
WEDNESDAY 15 - FRIDAY 17 Tokyo
SAT 18 Flight Back
1-I booked 4 nights in Osaka because accommodation was nearly fully booked in Kyoto. I am planning to do two day trips from Osaka to Kyoto.Would that be enough? or do you recommend to use Osaka as a base to do day trips to other places, and fill the nights for 12 and 13 going to Kyoto.
2- I was planning to go to KoyaSan, but most people say that in the first half of April it will be cold and not that impressive and also I cannot find any accommodation available for those days. Would a day trip from Osaka be enough to visit it? Or do you recommend me to skip it completely and visit somewhere else?
3-Which suggestions can you give me to fill those 2 nights/3 days in between Miyajima and Tokyo? I was also thinking on Naoshima, or some place with hot springs and Onsen. Or maybe Kiso Valley if its not too out of the way?
4- I am also thinking on one or two day trips from Tokyo to Mt Fuji or Nikko, anywhere else you can recommend?
My bookings can be cancelled. So if you can think of anything I am not doing right, I can still try and follow any advice you have.
Thanks very much for your help.
Look forward to your suggestions.
Kind regards,
Roberto Gonzalez
