Round trip Tokyo - Tokyo

Hi,

Would anyone please be able to check my planned itinerary using JR pass and let me know if buses are available on the dates travelling from Matsumoto to Takayama and Takayama - Kanazawa (via Tokyama?). Dates are 20 June 2017 - 13 July 2017 (21 day JR pass)

20 June - arrive Tokyo (pay separately for transport from Narita airport to Tokyo centre)
23 June - Tokyo to Nagano (activate JR pass)
25 June (Sunday services?) - Nagano to Matsumoto
26 June - Matsumoto to Takayama
28 June - Takayama to Kanazawa
30 June - Kanazawa to Hiroshima
1 July - Hiroshimi to Kurashiki
3 July - Kurashiki to Osaka
6 July - Osaka to Kyoto
10 July - Kyoto to Tokyo
13 July depart Tokyo

Does visiting Kanazawa complicate things travel wise?

Hello there,

Kanazawa is a very easy visit and well worth including. There is only one transfer going from Takayama - Kanazawa at Toyama station. While buses are not covered, you can use railway travel between Matsumoto, Kanazawa and Takayama.

It is a great trip btw!
