Hi, I'm planning to rent a pocket wifi at Narita Airport. My flight arrives around 4pm on 3/15 and I will return the pocket wift at Narita on 3/25 by 3pm. When I order the rental online, should I order for 10 days or 11 days? I'm not sure if you count calendar days or count every 24 hours as one day. Please clarify. Thanks!
Pocket WiFi rental
Hi there,
The system will tell you when the return day is when you select pick-up day and length of rental. I checked it for you and this would be considered a 11 day rental for pocket wifi in Japan.
In Japan most things are counted by the day (from morning to midnight), another example of this is the JR Pass but also other passes like a Tokyo Metro Day pass.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
Hi, Daniel:
Thank you for the clarification. It's helpful.
With regard to the pocket wifi pick-up location, this site says "The Wifi pickup counter can be found in the far corner of the North Wing. Look for the QL liner counter." My flight (ANA) arrives at the South Wing, and I noticed that the Narita airport map shows that there is a QL Liner counter in the far corner of the South Wing. Can the pocket wi-fi be picked up at the South Wing QL Liner counter instead?
Also, for the drop-off location (http://www.jrpass.com/blogs/wifi-return-locations#Narita 1), the text says 4th floor while the map below it says 1st floor. Which floor is correct?
Thanks!
Hi there,
You can return to WiFi at any of the counters, or even return it by registered mail at any post point, like a convenience store.
I think there is one on both floors actually but to be sure, there is one on the arrivals floor.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
Just checked with our team in Japan and it is indeed the 4th floor :)
