Hi there,

A JR Pass would work well here. Since travel to Nara especially is quite a trip and can cost a lot without using the JR Pass.

As for train to use, I recommend learning to plan with Hyperdia. This way you can find any route at any time.

In Hyperdia, for Hakone use Odawara station.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Hello Daniel,

Thank you.

Do I enter in Hyperdia, Shinjuku (JR) to Odawara station to use a JR pass? If I do, Route 3 says, Shinjuku then Odakyu Ltd. Exp Hakone 15, then Odawara. Is this all JR?
