Trying to figure out if it makes sense for me to purchase a JRP. I plan to travel to Japan in two weeks and my first stop will be Okinawa, then to Nara for one day. After leaving Nara, I plan to be in Kyoto for 2-3 days before heading to Tokyo for 3-4 days and then back to Okinawa. Does the JRP fit the needs of my travel, or am I better off purchasing metro passes?
Okinawa - Nara - Kyoto - Tokyo
Hi there,
I think the first thing to look at is what transport will be used where. Okinawa is an island so you'll either use the ferry or fly part of the way. After that see how much rail travel you'll do and then we can look at the cost and compare that against the cost of a JR Pass.
Now however I don't have enough information to say for sure what the best option is.
Hope this helps,
Daniel
