Ninjo Castle and Kinkaku-ji Temple (Golden Pavilion); Kyoto Imperial Palace and the Kyoto Handicraft Center

We plan to leave Osaka to Kyoto to visit the following: Ninjo Castle and Kinkaku-ji Temple (Golden Pavilion), Kyoto Imperial Palace and the Kyoto Handicraft Center.

What JR station should we get off? How much time should we expect to spend to visit all these sites?

What other places should we visit in Kyoto?

Thanks.

Hello there,

There's no JR Station near these places, the best way to travel to them is to use a Kyoto city bus or the Kyoto Metro.

You may find this sightseeing map useful.

I would also recommend a visit to Fushimi Inari, Nishiki Market and Kiyomizudera in Kyoto. Although these places are located all over the city, so you may not be able to include them all.

Hope this helps,
Daniel

Can we use JR Pass to ride the bus in Kyoto?

Unfortunately not. However you buy a 500yen all day bus pass.

Thanks. I assume that 500/adult. Is it the same rate for 9 and 11 years old child?

Children below the age of 12 are half price.
