Hello
Superxcited to go to japan in october.
I am planning to travel from kyoto to tokyo but have two days inbetween.
I would love to go to an Onsen/Mt Fuji or anything else.

Does anybody have some advice for a single female traveller who loves Art and Nature ?

Als I am wondering if there is a night train to save time :-)

Thank you !!

Hi there,

There are many great onsen in the Hakone Area near Fuji. I don't have a specific one to recommend but there are some nice ones here.

Have you heard of Naoshima? It is a small island near Shikoku dedicated to Art. I think you may love visiting there and it would not be too hard to include from Kyoto. More to be read here.

The Shinkansen are very fast and generally it is hard to book a night trains in advance. More to be read here.

Enjoy your trip!

Hi,
Near Tokyo the biggest and most famous hot spring area is Kusatsu. But the area is blanketed in many such places. Hakone is one, Nikko also has some good places. If you haven't already planned to go already, in addition to Kyoto, Nara makes a superb day trip with some of Japan's very best sights. And if you have an extra day and night, Koyasan is also excellent and gives a deeper view into Japan's older spiritualism.

Best of luck.

Thank you so much for all your tips. I would love to go to Koyasan but a bit worried about the long travel there. But I will try.
thank you again
