Hi, I will be having a 15 days and 14 nights in Japan. Will touch down in narita airport. On list to visit is Hakodate, Sapporo, Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo. Please advice start from which area is best? My thoughts are narita, rest one night Tokyo, Jr to Hakodate, n down to Sapporo, and Osaka, Kyoto and back to Tokyo. Of course in between i need to include Tokyo Disneyland for my sons. Btw we are a family of 4. Is this feasible. Would it be better if I get the 14 days pass?

Hi there,

Just reading that you go from Tokyo to Sapporo and back makes me say, get a 14 day JR Pass. The cost of this trip would already cost more than a 14 day JR Pass. Adding all the additional places will give you amazing savings and a trip like this would simply not be feasible without a JR Pass.

That said, you will be covering a lot of miles and good planning is required. It will certainly be possible though.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
