Hi.
The three of us will arrive at Narita next Thursday morning. Just wondering if it saves us a lot to purchase the JR pass for 8 days trip. Our itinerary is mostly in Tokyo though. Will be staying at an apartment and the closest station is Chitose-karasuyama.

Itinerary as follows :

Day 1 to Day 5 - Arrive 7am.
Tokyo (Tsukiji/ Imperial Palace/ Disneyland / National Museum/ Ameyoko/ Meiji Shrine/ Harajuku/Shinjuku/Shibuya/ Sengakuji / Odaiba / Asakusa / Tokyo Tower / Tokyo Dome)

Day 6 & 7 - Kyoto (Kinkakuji / Toei Park /Kiyomizu-dera/ Shoshazan engyo-ji/ Toji temple)

Day 8 - Fuji Q - Tokyo

Day 9 - Fly home

Hi there,

A JR Pass could be useful for a return Tokyo - Kyoto, the 7 day JR Pass is about the same price as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto and you could make nice savings with a bit more travel added in.

The JR Pass can also be used on local JR lines in Tokyo, gives access to many places, including Disneyland, Harajuku/Shinjuku/Shibuya and so on.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
