Hi there,

I would recommend a 7 day JR Pass if you can make the return Tokyo - Osaka within it's validity period. The pass is about the same price as a normal return ticket on the Shinkansen but now you get 7 days of unlimited travel for the same price. The price can only be purchased outside of Japan, so be sure to order it before departing.

Between Tokyo - Osaka you can use the Shinkansen (bullet train).
Travel within Tokyo is very easy. For instance with the JR Pass you can use the Yamanote line which stops at most of the places you wish to visit. Travel within Tokyo does not take a lot of time so you can visit them in the order you like. Only for Odaiba would I reserve a longer period of time, as it takes a little longer to get there and there's a lot to do.

Having one suitcase with your is totally fine btw :)

Hope this helps!
