I'm not sure whether purchasing the pass will save me money.
Our itinerary:
Haneda to Tokyo
Tokyo to Kyoto
Kyoto to Narita
Plus travel around both cities.
The above is over 10 days
Also do I need to reserve seats on the train from Tokyo to Kyoto?

Hi Kimberly,
A 7 day JR Pass could be useful if you can at least cover Tokyo to Kyoto and Kyoto to Narita with it.
Seat reservations between Tokyo and Kyoto are recommended but it is also possible to take a non-reserved seat. The Narita Express between Tokyo - Narita Airport, always requires a reservation beforehand.
