i need help with jr routes ???

hi there :)
planning on a 3 week trip to japan in jan 17'
was going to land in narita spend a night in Tokyo
catch train to nagano ( spend 4 days )
train to Hiroshima ( 2 days)
train Osaka (2 days)
train to nara (1 day)
train to Nagoya(2 days)
train to mt Fuji (2 days)
train to nikko (1 day)
spend week in Tokyo ( 7 days)

just trying to figure out the best route to take so we are not crossing back over our path, would we get the 14 day pass ..if anyone could help me

This order of places you plan to visit which you have now works well and there is no back tracking or unnecessary travel.

Is there any specific part of the route which are are worried about? We do have some excellent resources you can use to plan like a pro:

The part of the trip im most concerned about is getting from nagano to hiroshima .. will i need to go back to tokyo or can yoh bipass it

Hi Again!

The fastest way would be to take a ltd. express train from Nagano to Nagoya and use the Shinkansen bullet trains from there to Hiroshima. It's quite a trip though, so leave eurly.
