Hi, I will be in Tokyo for 9 days in February 16.
Question 1 : Which day should I activate the 7 day JR pass?
Question 2 : Can the JRPass be use for all the train line from Shinjuku to atami / Ito to Kyoto n back to Karuizawa?

Hi Et,
It makes sense to cover as much distance with the JR Pass as possible. Looking at your route, this would be Tokyo - Atami - Kyoto - Karuizawa and - if possible - return to Tokyo. All trains on this route are covered by the JR Pass.
Looks like a nice trip to make in winter!
