Hi,

My friend and I are traveling to Japan this April.

We are arriving in Fukuoka but going to Osaka then leaving Japan via Fukuoka.

We will be purchasing the JR Pass for 7 days.

Which train and from what station do we start from to get to Osaka from Fukuoka?

Is there a website where we can see the train time of departures (TTD) and train time of arrivals (TTA) to help us plan our itinerary while in Japan?

While in Osaka, we plan to see Kyoto and Narra. Is Nagasaki better accessed from Osaka or Fukuoka? Do you have any suggestions of interesting places to see in these areas?

Hi Gina,

You can use the Sakura Shinkansen between Hakata (Fukuoka) and Shin-Osaka stations. This is a direct connection with generally a service at least every 30 minutes.

You can check time tables via www.hyperdia.com and we also have a detailed post here on how to plan with Hyperdia.

Nagasaki is south of Fukuoka, and much easier visit from there than Osaka.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
