Hi me and my family (total 5 incl a 5-year kid) are travelling from 28Mar-04Apr. we are planning to go to Mt. Fuji, roam around Tokyo and then to Osaka, will it be more useful to buy a 7-day JR pass>

I also read that you provide airport drop off to Hotel, what is the procedure for this? we will be staying at HotelmyStays Ikebukuro and will be landing on 28th MAr to Haneda airport arriving around 11pm. How much will be the charge.

Many thanks.

Hi there,

A 7 day JR Pass is a great choice when used to make a return trip Tokyo - Osaka. A normal return ticket Tokyo - Osaka is about the same price as a 7 day JR Pass, now you get 7 days of unlimited travel for the same price :)

We don't provide luggage drop off services, however there is a luggage delivery service available at Haneda Airport.
All the details are here: http://www.haneda-airport.jp/inter/en/premises/service/delivery.html

Hope this helps,
Daniel

One of the problems of going to see Mt Fuji is that the weather rarely cooperates. Besides that, seeing the mountain from a distance is actually much nicer than being part way up it. So you might consider going to Hakone. It offers a nice view of the mountain when the weather is good, and when it isn't, there are still other things to see and do there.
You can see some good info on it here:

Hi agaiN!

Sorry, maybe I missed it. Where will you be coming from if you wish to visit Hakone?

A General access guide can be found here.

The JR can be used to travel to Gotemba and also to the Shinkansen station of Odawara. From Odawara non-jr transport runs throughout the area.

HI thanks for the info. our hotel is near Ikebukuro so I guess we will be coming from JR Otsuka train station. Is Gotembra Premium Outlet near Odawara also? can we go on both places the same day?

Where is the best place to view Mt. Fuji?

Hi again!

I would recommend sticking to Hakone for a single day, there is more than enough to keep you busy for a day there.

Gotemba is about 1h travel with the JR from Odawara, so you can visit if you wish. Here is the route.

Hope this helps!

Well it is not too far but there is so much to do in Hakone, so I don't know if you have enough time to visit both.

Gotemba is indeed mainly shopping, although there are great Fuji viewing points in the area as well.

Hakone is about touring the local area and marveling at the sights it offers, both Fuji and other Nature parts.

I would recommend a look at this website for more information on Hakone.
