Hi

I've tried to cost out the rail journeys but I'm finding it difficult to know if all my train routes are covered. I arriving in September and I calculated the cost on the train to be 36,000 yen?? Would it be more resonable to buy a 7 day pass from 15th - 21st?

13th Osaka Airport into Osaka
14th Osaka to Kobe
15th Osaka via Himeji to Hiroshima
16th Hiroshima to Miyajima Island
17th Hiroshima to Kyoto
18th Kyoto
19th Kyoto
20th Kyoto to Nara return
21s Kyoto to Tokyo
22nd Tokyo
23rd Tokyo
24th Thursday Tokyo to Fuji ?
25th Friday Tokyo
26th Saturday Tokyo to Narita airport

any help appreciated

Hi Tracey,

Looking at your itinerary - I do agree that going for a 7 day JR Pass and using it from day 15th - 21st would make the most sense. You can cover all the expansive routes, Osaka - Himeji - Hiroshima - Kyoto - Tokyo with it and also cover smaller trips on the side, such as Nara with it too.

From there local travel is not expansive in Tokyo and there are express buses that run to Fuji starting at about 1,700yen/one way.

Nice itinerary btw ;)
