Hi,

We are travelling in Japan from 12 to 26 February with the following itinerary. We are two adults and two student (18 and 21). Can you please advise if it is cheaper to:
- pay as we go - buy a seven day pass and activate it from 22 Feb - buy a 14 day pass?

Itinerary
12 Feb - arrive Tokyo Narita
15 Feb - Tokyo to Nagano
15 Feb - Nagano to Shiga Kogen
19 Feb - Shiga Kogen - Nazawa Onsen 22 Feb - Nozawa Onsen - Kyoto 26 Feb - Kyoto - Tokyo Narita

Thanks very much!

Hello Vicki,

Let's have a look at ticket prices and find out!

Narita Airport - Tokyo ¥ 3,020
Tokyo - Nagano ¥ 8,200
Nagano - Shiga Kogen (traveled by bus)
Shiga Kogen - Nozowa Onsen (traveled by bus)
Nozawa - Kyoto ¥ 12,920
Kyoto - Tokyo Narita Airport ¥ 16,380

I looked at how a JR Pass could best be matched to this but would advise buying tickets as you go for this itinerary.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
