Hello ppl,

Planning to go japan from 13 Nov - 22 Nov 2015.

13 Nov - 2pm reach Tokyo Narita Airport
14 Nov - remain in tokyo (use JR pass to travel JR lines tokyo)
15 Nov - traveling to Kyoto

17 Nov - Travelling back to Tokyo (use JR pass to travel JR lines tokyo until 19 Nov end of 7 days)
22 Nov - back to Narita Airport.

My plan is to use the JR pass on 13 Nov from Narita airport to tokyo and starting the 7 days.
so its how it will be used

(13 Nov) Tokyo Narita Airport > Tokyo > Kyoto > (17 Nov) Tokyo > (22 Nov) Narita Airport

Is it still worth it to buy the rail pass? Able to share the rail of single trips for the above?

Thanks

Hi there,

Yes the JR Pass is well worth considering here. The cost of a 7 day JR Pass is almost the same as a normal return ticket Tokyo - Kyoto using the Shinkansen. Now you get 7 days of unlimited travel for the same price and it is easy to make savings with it.

You can also use the Narita Express into Tokyo with the JR Pass, and local JR lines in Tokyo. I also recommend making a day trip from Tokyo. Visiting Nikko, Kamakura or Yokohama will both get the best out of your trip and the JR Pass.

Make the best of it!
Daniel
