Hi

I have re-reviewed my trip .

Can someone do a sense check please....

13-May Arrive Tokyo 0720
14-May Tokyo all day
15-May Tokyo all day
16-May Tokyo Daytrip to Nikko.
17-May Tokyo to shibazakura for a day then train to matsumoto and stay there overnight
18-May Morning in matsumoto then to Kamicochi for some walking/sightseeing onto Kanazawa overnight
19-May Kanazawa for the day, then to Okayama in the evening
20-May Hiroshima/Miyajima Day trip from Okayama Okayama
21-May Naoshima in morning THEN to Himenji Castle in afternoon80 mins) and then onto Kyoto
22-May Kyoto to mount koya daytrip (pass ends) Kyoto
23-May 23rd May Kyoto Kyoto
24-May 24th May Kyoto then flight from Osaka at 2230.

It looks pretty good - I presume you want to use a 7 day JR Pass from May 16-22. A 14 day pass would not pay off.
For May 20 though by the time you reach Okayama it may be too late to see any sights there.

Hello there,

It looks like a busy itinerary but I don't see any impossibilities. Matsumoto - Kanazawa and Kanazawa to Koayama/Hiroshima are especially long, so bring a good book to keep yourself entertained.

You can also make very very good savings with a 7 day JR pass by using it from May 16th to May 22nd.
