Hi, everyone,

I booked the JR Tickets below:

1) Morioka - Shin-Aomori (1537 - 1643) and Shin-Aomori - Hakodate (1653 - 1908)
2) Hakodate - Shin-Aomori (1451 - 1711) and Shin-Aomori - Omiya (1722 - 1006)

After second thought, i am afraid only 10 mins is not enough to catch the train, esp we are with luggage. Anyone has similar experience to share ? Thank you very much.

Erica

Hi Erica,

I've made the trip a couple of times myself and Shin-Aomori is a very small station. 10 Minutes should be plenty, basically you only have to go trough to Shinkansen gate to the normal tracks, there are sighs everywhere so you can't miss it.

Enjoy your trip!

Hi Erica,

Actually it is not part of any line. As you travel under the Seikan Tunnel, which is only done by limited express train.

For the right train you will want to go down to platform 1 & 2 (they are also on the map you linked).

Hope this helps!
Daniel
