Hi,

My partner and I will be traveling to Japan next year. We arrive on the 24th January and leave on the 4th February.

We plan on purchasing JR Passes, as we will be spending time in in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and Hiroshima.

I notice there is only a 7 day and 14 day pass however our stay is 11 days. What would be the most economic option for us?

Also, ,can I get from Osaka to Hiroshima using these passes?

Thank you.

Hi there,

Travel within Tokyo does not cost a lot compared to travel to Kyoto and Hiroshima. My advice would be to see if you can use a 7 day JR Pass and travel to Kyoto, Hiroshima and back to Tokyo, then buy normal tickets for the remaining time in Tokyo.

The JR Pass can be used for travel to Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima and you can make very good savings on this route, compared to purchasing normal tickets with a 7 day JR Pass.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
