Hello!

I'll be in Toyama for Kurobe Alpine Route from 14-16 November. On the 16th, I plan to go to Mt. Fuji area from Toyama. Are there any ways that I can get to Fuji directly? What would be the best way?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Maryam E.

Hello Maryam E.

First its important to know where around Fuji you wish to be. The area around Fuji is really large and there's quite a difference on what side of the mountain you want to be. I can give you a route if you tell me what station you wish to travel to.

Thank you,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

I haven't really decided on a place to stay but we're aiming to stay around Lake Kawaguchiko. I assume we will be stopping at Kawaguchiko station then. Appreciate your advice on this!

Many thanks & regards,
Maryam E.

Hi Maryam E.,

Kawaguchiko is quite hard to reach from Toyama, as the Japanese Alps are in the way. So its quite a long route.

Here is an example itinerary: Toyama - Kawaguchiko. The route is covered by the JR Pass up to Otsuki station.

Hope this helps,
Daniel
