What would be the best prepaid card for subways in Tokyo and is it a different one for subways on Osaka. Can I buy both of these at Narita airport on arrival?

Hello there,

You can use a Suica card for traveling the metro/subway in both Osaka and Kyoto. The Suica card is purchasable at Narita Airport and other JR East station It is also possible to buy day passes, which can help you make savings if you plan to travel a lot.

Hope this helps,
Danie

Any IC card works with the subway, just buy the one you see first :)

Be it Suica, ICOCA or any other, they are all interchangeable these days.
