I'm planning a trip to Jap early next year and I was just wondering if by getting the Japan Rail pass does this mean I will not need to take any other trains or buses? Or will I also need to pay for other trains and bus tickets?
Thanks in advance :)

Hi there,
The JR Pass covers all of the JR Network in Japan, including the bullet trains and local trains in cities like Tokyo and Osaka. Other transport like the metro, tram and transport run by other companies in not included.
We have a full map of all lines covered here:

Hope this helps,
Daniel
