Tokyo to Kyoto on MarchI have a JR Rail pass and plan to travel to Kyoto from Tokyo on March 15th. Checking on Hyperdia, is appears that the earliest non-Nozomi Shinkansen train to Kyoto is at 11:33AM, the Hikari 511. Is that right? According to Hyperdia, there are only Nozomi trains leaving from 6AM until 11:30AM, Can that be right? Is there possibly another Shinkansen leaving sometime between 8AM and 10AM that I could take that may just not be showing up on Hyperdia? Thanks for any suggestions! |

There are quite a few shinkansenn travelling when you mention: sample itinerary so you should have no problems with transportation. Hope this helps! |

well that's odd. I just checked prior to the post and the only one that was showing up was at 11:33AM. hmmmm.. not sure why it was not showing those trains. Thanks for your help!! |
